The holiday season is a time for giving, and the Southern Idaho Toys for Tots program is working hard to ensure that children in our community have something special under the tree this year.
Whether you’re a family in need of assistance or someone looking to help, there are several ways to get involved. Here’s how you can make a difference this season:
1. Request Assistance
If you are a parent seeking help with gifts for your children this Christmas, applications for the Southern Idaho Toys for Tots program are now being accepted. To apply, visit Twin Falls Toys for Tots and click on “Request a Toy” to find contact information for your nearest service provider. Don’t wait too long—applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Donate a Toy
Many local families are in need, and you can make a huge difference by donating a new, unwrapped toy. Donation boxes are located in stores throughout the Magic Valley, making it easy for you to contribute while doing your holiday shopping. To find the nearest drop-off location or learn about other ways to help, visit the Toys for Tots website.
Remember: every toy donated locally stays in the Magic Valley and will go to children right here in our community!
3. Participate in the Annual Turkey Shoot
For a fun way to support Toys for Tots while showing off your skills, join the annual Turkey Shoot at the Twin Falls Gun Club! The event will be held on Sunday, December 1st, starting at 10 AM. Bring your friends, your best shooting skills, and a shotgun to participate in this exciting event.
- Guaranteed shoot cards are $35 with a donated toy or $40 without.
- Great prizes will be awarded, and all proceeds will go towards purchasing toys for local children.
Mark your calendar and get ready to make a difference while having fun!
4. Volunteer to Help
Toys for Tots also needs volunteers to help with toy sorting, counting, and distribution. Whether you are part of a service group, a business, or just a caring individual, your time and energy will directly help ensure that children in our community have a joyful Christmas.
To learn more about volunteering, visit Twin Falls Toys for Tots. Every hour you contribute helps bring smiles to kids in need.
5. Spread the Word
Even if you can’t donate or volunteer, you can still support the Toys for Tots program by sharing information with friends and family. Spread the word about donation boxes, volunteer opportunities, and the importance of helping local children during the holiday season.
