A suspect is dead after an officer-involved shooting just before 6 p.m. Friday south of Jerome. Jerome County deputies responded to a disturbance on West 500 South, where a suspect with a gun was seen in the roadway. The situation escalated, leading to gunfire that killed the suspect.

Fatal Pedestrian Crash West of Caldwell
Idaho State Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred Sunday morning on State Highway 19 west of Caldwell. A 47-year-old Nampa woman was struck and killed while walking along the highway. The 27-year-old driver from Homedale was taken to the hospital.
Utah Man Found Shot to Death on I-15
A 31-year-old Utah man was found shot to death inside a car stopped along I-15 near milepost 85. Authorities ruled the death a homicide. Northbound lanes were temporarily closed during the investigation but have since reopened.
