🚨 CRIME & COURTS

  • Dunes Motel Shooting
    A judge set bond at $500,000 for Tobi Rae Smith (31), accused of shooting a man at the Dunes Motel in Twin Falls Tuesday morning. Security footage reportedly contradicts her self-defense claim. The victim underwent emergency surgery.
  • Former Teacher Arrested
    Kip Crofts, former Caldwell High teacher and football coach, was arrested in Nampa Wednesday. He faces charges of sexual abuse of a child under 16, stemming from his time in Caldwell. He’s now held in Canyon County Jail.

⚖ LEGAL & POLITICS

  • Sun Valley Ski Ruling Reversed
    The Idaho Supreme Court reversed its controversial 2023 ruling related to a Sun Valley ski death, dismissing the widow’s lawsuit. While ski areas are relieved, a key liability change remains, raising concerns for resorts.
  • Labrador Supports Trump Deportation Power

    A multi-agency drug sweep at the Idaho State Correctional Center turned up no major contraband. The search of C-Block, Idaho’s largest men’s prison, involved local law enforcement and K9 teams.

    The Burley Regatta sails into town this weekend! Enjoy boat races, parades, music, and fireworks from Friday to Sunday on the Snake River. It’s a cherished Southern Idaho tradition.
