๐ Jerome Community Mourns Student and Father
The Jerome school community is mourning the loss of a student and her father following a deadly Sunday morning crash near U.S. Highway 93.
Idaho State Police say both were killed in the crash. The Jerome School District identified the student as Summer Gianna Bioando and is asking students and staff to wear blue Monday in her memory.
The district says Gianna will be deeply missed by classmates, teachers and the entire school community.
๐จ Major Crash Involving Motorcycles Near Caldwell
Idaho State Police are investigating a major crash on westbound Interstate 84 near Caldwell.
The crash happened Saturday afternoon near 10th Avenue and involved seven vehicles and 25 motorcycles participating in a memorial ride.
About 15 people were taken to area hospitals following the crash.
Westbound I-84 was blocked for approximately four hours while emergency crews worked at the scene and investigators began looking into what happened.
โ๏ธ Rupert Man Sentenced for Insurance Fraud
A Rupert man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to felony insurance fraud.
The Idaho Department of Insurance says Justin Tate submitted a fake invoice for more than $10,600 following a house fire.
Tate was sentenced to 10 days in jail and three years of supervised probation. He must also pay restitution and fines connected to the case.
๐ Fatal Rollover Near Lava Hot Springs
A Montpelier man was killed in a rollover crash east of Lava Hot Springs.
According to Idaho State Police, a minivan left Highway 30 and overturned after an overcorrection. The crash happened around 7 p.m.
Another man involved in the crash was not transported to a hospital.
The highway was blocked for nearly six hours, and the crash remains under investigation.
๐ฅ Twin Falls House Fire Under Investigation
Firefighters are investigating a Friday morning house fire on Bisbee Place in Twin Falls.
Crews were called to the home at approximately 6:15 a.m. and were able to contain the fire to the residence.
Firefighters confirmed that nobody was inside the home when the fire broke out.
Rock Creek crews and Magic Valley Paramedics assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
๐ฒ Idaho Gets $12.4 Million for Forest Management
Idaho is receiving $12.4 million in federal funding for forest management projects.
Five new agreements will support projects including forest thinning, wildfire recovery and other efforts designed to improve forest health.
Governor Brad Little says the federal-state partnership will help reduce wildfire risks while supporting rural communities across Idaho.
๐ Trailing of the Sheep Festival Celebrates 30 Years
One of Idaho’s most unique traditions is celebrating a big milestone.
The Trailing of the Sheep Festival is marking its 30th year in the Wood River Valley.
This Sunday at noon, approximately 950 sheep will make their way down Ketchum’s Main Street as they begin their journey toward Gooding.
The five-day festival also features sheepdog trials, cooking classes, ranching stories and other events celebrating Idaho’s sheep-ranching heritage.

๐ฅ Minico’s Logan Wayment Has Seven-Touchdown Night
Minico quarterback Logan Wayment put together an incredible performance Friday night, accounting for seven touchdowns as the Spartans defeated Canyon Ridge 64โ21.
Wayment ran for five touchdowns and threw for two more as Minico picked up its first conference victory.
๐ Gooding Ends Five-Game Skid Against Buhl
Gooding snapped a five-game losing streak against Buhl with a 41โ34 victory.
Cougar Stockham accounted for four touchdowns, including three rushing scores and another through the air.

๐ HISTORIC WEEKEND FOR IDAHO FOOTBALL
๐ง Vandals Shock No. 1 Montana State
It was a finish Idaho football fans won’t soon forget.
The Idaho Vandals stunned No. 1 Montana State 35โ34 Saturday, rallying from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit.
With 49 seconds remaining and no timeouts, Joshua Wood led the Vandals down the field. He found Ryan Jezioro for a touchdown as time expired, then powered into the end zone himself for the winning two-point conversion.
The victory marked Idaho’s first-ever win over a top-ranked team.
Wood threw for 315 yards, while Jezioro finished with 147 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Idaho now travels to Weber State Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
๐ฆ Boise State Gets First Pac-12 Victory
Boise State picked up its first Pac-12 football victory Saturday, defeating Utah State 37โ18 on the Blue.
The Broncos improved to 4โ1 overall and 1โ0 in conference play.
Maddux Madsen threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns, while Dylan Riley rushed for 93 yards and two scores.
Boise State’s defense added six sacks, and Jake Ripp returned an interception 21 yards for a touchdown.
Despite the victory, Boise State slipped one spot to No. 23 in the AP poll.
The Broncos travel to Fresno State Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
๐ฏ Idaho State’s Eight-Game Winning Streak Ends
Idaho State’s eight-game winning streak came to an end Saturday as Northern Arizona defeated the Bengals 38โ31 in Pocatello.
Jordan Cooke threw for 385 yards and three touchdowns, while Julian Mason caught two fourth-quarter touchdown passes.
The Bengals scored 17 points in the final quarter and cut the deficit to seven with 26 seconds remaining, but Northern Arizona recovered the ensuing onside kick.
Idaho State falls to 4โ1 overall and 1โ1 in Big Sky play.
The Bengals return home Saturday for a 4 p.m. homecoming game against Cal Poly.
โฝ CSI GOLDEN EAGLES HAVE A BIG WEEKEND
CSI enjoyed a strong weekend against Truckee Meadows.
The Golden Eagle men’s soccer team rolled to a 5โ0 victory, improving to 4โ2โ2.
Rodrigo Julian Olmos scored twice in the opening 13 minutes, while Victor Jaeger, Wisdom Herrera and Tarsio Almeida Sebastiao also found the net.
The CSI women also picked up a victory, winning 2โ1.
Brielle Cooper scored just 15 seconds into the match, with Annie Layton adding another early goal.
Both CSI soccer teams host USU-Eastern Thursday. The women play at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 3:30.
๐ CSI VOLLEYBALL ROLLS
The 13th-ranked CSI volleyball team finished a strong road weekend with a 3โ1 victory over Truckee Meadows.
The Golden Eagles won the match 25โ17, 21โ25, 25โ16 and 25โ12.
Nana Lobzhanidze led CSI with 13 kills, while Dalayni Brindley recorded 37 assists. The Golden Eagles also served up 12 aces.
CSI improves to 3โ1 in Scenic West play and returns home Friday to host nationally ranked Snow College at 6 p.m.

Boise State women’s soccer has now won a program-record eight straight games.
The Broncos shut out Gonzaga 3โ0 Sunday, improving to 10โ1โ1 overall and 2โ0 in Pac-12 play.
Mia Lane scored twice, while Ava de Leest recorded her seventh shutout of the season.
The victory also gave head coach Jim Thomas his 150th win at Boise State.
Idaho also won its in-state matchup with Idaho State, shutting out the Bengals 3โ0 in Moscow.

Kimberly had a busy and successful Saturday at the Rocky Mountain Invitational.
The Bulldogs won three matches, beating Thunder Ridge 3โ2 before sweeping Columbia and Boise 3โ0.
Kimberly’s record now stands at 23โ5.
Tonight, 15โ1 Valley puts its record on the line against Oakley.
Other matches include Castleford at Camas County, Murtaugh at Sun Valley Community School, Hansen at Carey, Shoshone at Glenns Ferry, Dietrich at Lighthouse Christian and Declo at Wendell.
