FATAL CRASH DISCOVERED
One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Gooding County that wasn’t discovered until yesterday afternoon. Deputies found a silver BMW overturned in a shallow lake east of Tuttle.
BUC-EE’S COULD BE COMING
A Buc-ee’s travel center could be coming to Meridian near the I-84 and Meridian Road interchange. Records show the Texas-based chain is negotiating for land to build a massive 74-thousand-square-foot store with more than 100 gas pumps and up to 225 employees.
NATURAL GAS RATES RISING
Residential customers will see their natural gas bills rise starting Thursday. The Idaho Public Utilities Commission approved a settlement allowing Intermountain Gas to raise average residential bills by about two-dollars-45 a month, or six percent. Small business customers will see an increase of about four-dollars-42, while the commission says the deal avoids larger hikes originally requested by the utility.
IDAHO DELEGATION REACTS
Idaho’s congressional delegation is reacting to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro being captured by the United States. Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch praised President Donald Trump’s action, calling it a step toward restoring stability and protecting U.S. security. Congressman Russ Fulcher and Mike Simpson echoed that support, while Idaho Democrats criticized the move as unconstitutional and dangerous.

The 13th-ranked College of Southern Idaho men opened conference play with an 82–65 win over North Idaho Saturday. Jalen Lyn exploded for 31 points after halftime, and Ben Thornbrue added 16. CSI is now 15-and-1 and heads on the road to Colorado Northwestern and Salt Lake.

The 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho women rolled past North Idaho 78–51 Saturday in conference play. Samara Morrow and Calyn Wood each scored 17, while Savannah Stoker added 16 as the Golden Eagles forced 23 turnovers. CSI is now 15-and-1 and heads on the road for the next game.

Boise State dropped a three-overtime thriller at San Diego State Saturday night, losing 110–107. Javan Buchanan led all scorers with 29 points, while Andrew Meadow added 25. The Broncos are now 9-and-5 and return home to host Grand Canyon Wednesday and Utah State Friday.
