Fatal Crash After Pursuit Near Sublett
Idaho State Police are investigating a deadly rollover crash following a pursuit near Sublett Campground on Sunday. A suspect fled after reports of gunfire and died at the scene after crashing.
Gooding County Homicide Identified
The Gooding County Prosecutor has identified 20-year-old Tyrese Moretz as the victim of a fatal shooting last Friday. Moretz suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead inside a residence.
Motel Shooting in Twin Falls
Twin Falls Police responded to a shooting at the Dunes Motel around 7:30 a.m. yesterday. A man with a gunshot wound to the leg was treated at the scene and taken to St. Luke’s. Officers arrested 31-year-old Tobi Smith for aggravated battery.

Active AMBER Alert
An AMBER Alert remains active for Rachelle and Allen Fischer. Jefferson County detectives now say the vehicle first linked to their disappearance was not in Idaho at the time. The children vanished between 6 and 8 p.m. Sunday. If spotted, call 911 immediately.
Prison Sentence for Sexual Assault
Ryan Cook, 39, was sentenced Monday to 8 to 20 years in prison for raping a 14-year-old boy in a church parking lot. He must register as a sex offender, pay fines, and avoid contact with the victim for 20 years.

Buhl Fire Station Gets Federal Boost
Nearly $3.4 million in federal funding is included in a 2026 appropriations bill to build a new fire station for the Buhl Rural Fire Protection District. Rep. Mike Simpson requested the funds, citing the need for a centrally located facility.
Boise to Enforce Camping Ban
Boise officials say they’ll begin enforcing Idaho’s new public camping ban starting July 1. The city will continue its housing-first approach, but under the new law, police must issue $10 citations for illegal camping.

The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office is monitoring a frightened young moose spotted around Burley. Residents are urged to stay away and let wildlife experts handle the situation.

Idaho Vandals Expand Spanish Broadcasts
Idaho Vandal Football will air five games in Spanish this season on GoVandals.com and the Varsity Network app, continuing its status as the first FCS team to offer Spanish-language broadcasts. Featured games include St. Thomas, Northern Colorado, and Idaho State.
