HEALTHCARE | St. Luke’s, Humana Split in 2026
Starting January 2026, St. Luke’s Health System hospitals will no longer be in-network for patients with Humana Medicare Advantage plans. Humana says it couldn’t reach a new agreement with St. Luke’s, though coverage continues through 2025. Members can still visit other in-network hospitals like Saint Alphonsus and Treasure Valley Hospital.
CRIME | Excavator Destroys Home in Post Falls
In Post Falls, a man used an excavator to destroy a newly built home early yesterday. Police arrested 29-year-old Fred Kudrna for DUI and malicious injury to property after he fled the scene. The home had just been sold but wasn’t yet occupied.
TRAGEDY | Child Killed in Boise Crash
A young girl died after being hit by a pickup truck yesterday afternoon in Boise’s North End. The girl later died at the hospital.
ELECTIONS | Boise Attorney Enters Governor’s Race
Boise attorney Terri Pickens has announced her run for Idaho governor on the Democratic ticket, calling for leaders who “listen and act.”
COURTS | Twin Falls Businessman Ruled Competent for Trial
Twin Falls businessman Daniel Churchman, accused of drug trafficking and grand theft, has been ruled competent to stand trial. Churchman waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over to district court after posting a $100,000 bond.
CRIME | Twin Falls Man Faces Sex Abuse Charges
A 34-year-old Twin Falls man, Joaquin De Jesus Estrada, is facing multiple sex abuse charges after a teen told police he began abusing her last year and took photos of the encounters. Estrada is being held on $500,000 bond.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL | Semifinal Weekend in Idaho
It’s semifinal weekend across Idaho high school football and four teams in each class are just one win away from the state title game! In 6A, Rocky Mountain visits Rigby, and Coeur d’Alene takes on Timberline at Dona Larsen Park — both at 7 p.m. Friday.
In 5A, defending champ Hillcrest hosts Twin Falls at 7 p.m., while Skyline travels to undefeated Bishop Kelly, also 7 p.m. Friday.
In 4A, Kimberly hits the road to unbeaten Fruitland at 7 p.m., and Homedale faces Sugar-Salem inside the mini-Dome — kickoff 5:30 Friday.
3A action begins tomorrow: Aberdeen meets Ririe at 7 p.m., followed by West Side versus Nampa Christian 8:15 Friday, both inside the mini-Dome.
2A semifinal matchups — Grace visits Kendrick at 6 p.m. Pacific Friday in the Kibbie Dome, while Logos travels to Kamiah at 7 p.m.
And in 1A, Carey visits Council and Wallace meets Tri-Valley, both 1 p.m. Saturday.

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL | New Rules This Season
High school basketball tips off Friday night, and fans will notice some new rule changes this season. Intentional fouls will now be judged by severity, and slapping the backboard on a missed block counts as basket interference. The biggest change: new throw-in spots in both the front and back court.
COMMUNITY SPORTS | Buhl Students Raise $12K for Safe House
Two Buhl High seniors, Stori Poppay and Noah Penman, turned their senior project into success — raising over $12,000 for The Safe House in Twin Falls through a charity golf tournament at Clear Lake Country Club.

The CSI Volleyball Team dominated Region 18 honors! Hazuna Akishige repeated as Libero of the Year, joined on the first team by Mina Benucci. Vivian Goto and Isabel Smart earned second-team spots after leading CSI to an 18–9 season.
COLLEGE BASKETBALL | Broncos Roll Past UTRGV
Boise State rolled past UTRGV, 85-65, last night at ExtraMile Arena. Andrew Meadow led the way with 21 points, while Javan Buchanan added 15 and Dylan Andrews chipped in 12. The Broncos improve to 2-1 and host Montana State this Saturday, tipoff at 2 p.m.
FOOTBALL | Vandals Face Sacramento State Finale
The Idaho Vandals hit the road for their final trip of the season — facing Sacramento State Saturday at 6 p.m. Quarterback Joshua Wood leads all Big Sky QBs in rushing as Idaho looks to finish strong in their final Big Sky matchup with the Hornets.
