Governor Brad Little has signed House Bill 93, creating the $50 million Parental Choice Tax Credit program. He says the move expands school options while maintaining strong public school funding. While most conservatives celebrated the signing of HB 93, Democrats strongly opposed the decision. The Idaho Democratic Party posted on X:

Woman Removed from Town Hall Raises $320K for Legal Action
A woman removed from a Kootenai County town hall meeting has raised over $320,000 for legal action. Dr. Teresa Borrenpohl was forcibly dragged out after interrupting speakers. Lear Asset Management, the event security team, has since lost its Idaho license.

Idaho Prosecutors Want Limits on Kohberger’s Defense
Prosecutors want to restrict Bryan Kohberger’s alibi defense unless he testifies at his trial later this year. They also requested limits on psychiatric evaluations and alternate suspects. Kohberger is charged with murdering four U of I students in 2022.

A bill proposing a $17,000 salary increase for Idaho judges is heading to the House floor with a recommendation to pass.
- Chief Justice G. Richard Bevan argues that low pay makes retention difficult, with many judges leaving for private practice.
- If approved:
- District judges will earn $172,000 annually.
- Magistrates will earn $164,000 annually.
Pedestrian Hit by Pickup in Twin Falls
